Days here are insane. I no longer know the day of the week or date anymore.
I'm guessing this will be about day two and three.
Since the last post I have been able to conquer the lonely beach at 3 a.m a couple mornings.
(I had today off, not the rest of the week though)
Yes, 3 a.m.
It was a bit eerie being alone on a 10 mile beach, a lone in the pitch black night sky.
(Well not completely a lone, German was with me.)
It was beautiful and quite though. I couldn't help but look up at the stars while on the back of the ATV.
We search the 10 miles of beach for turtle tracings.
The first next I saw amazed me.
So many eggs down in the ground, our biggest next was about 150.
When he asked me to dig them out I was so worried about breaking them, they seem so fragile and delicate.
Within the past couple mornings we had found 6 nests.
After digging the eggs up we transport them into the pens, and put them in the ground as the mama turtle would.
Wait 45 days and hatch the little guys down in the ground. Waiting to be released and set free into the wide ocean.
If I'm really lucky I will be able to see a Mama Sea Turtle nesting.
I pray to witness that.
a beautiful life.
