Paris Amour

I had a brand new set and thought it would be great to shoot in the studio.
I used a 4x5 camera and composited a different background.

Timeless Elegance: Jayde

Jayde has been my model before and when I decided what I wanted to do with my Timeless Elegance studio shoot I knew she would be perfect for it.
She is also a photo major at AI but she is great in front of the camera too!
I wanted a vintage yet edgy look to my photographs.
A couple of the photos I used my lensbaby. I loved the effect it made with studio shots.

First studio session

I had my first studio portrait shoot today for portraiture.
I went pretty smoothly and I was able to get some pretty good shots.
I feel as though I need to work on posing, I never know how to have my models stand, what to do with their arms, etc. I have yet to show these to my instructor so we'll see how it all goes.

Abbie was so much fun to work with! She is so energetic and comfortable in front of the camera!
& doesn't she have just lovely hair?!

2012// Studio work.

At The Art Institute of Colorado I had to be trained to work on a large format 4x5 camera.
I remember going in so scared, I thought I would never get it right, I felt like I had re-shoots coming out of my ears.
However, I survived the classes that "weed you out of the program" with all A's. So I guess that means I'm in!
Here is some work and still lifes I have taken with the 4x5.
