We recently took a trip to La Paz here in the Baja.
The city was a lot more different then I expected, driving through it looked like a normal city. However, when you move closer to the water it becomes a little more quite with less people. It was different going to a place and people not yelling out of their shops "Senorita! I've been waiting for you all day!" Might I add, this was a pleasant change for once.
The first day we got there we took a stroll along the beach and looked for a place to have dinner. There we many options for dinner because of all the restraunts along the road. We ended up in a place where we could watch the sunset over the ocean. While eating dinner I even got cold because of the cool breeze blowing, this was also a different change while being in Mexico, it was a good thing that I chose some hot seafood soup.
The second day we went to a few places. We first had breakfast at nice place called Tail Hunter. The decor was covered with witty signs, stickers, and paintings. It was a very colorful place with good food and very reasonable at the same time.
We then went to the Serpentarium. In other words, we went to a little place filled with lizards, turtles, birds, chipmunks, snakes...and vipers! Let me first add that one of the rattlesnakes were not happy, I could hear him all the way down the hall way, when we got to him he was rattling and about to attack the glass. It was epic.
We took through a couple of the cathedrals. They were so beautiful. I love how every cathedral looks different in some way, my favorite is when gold paint is involved in their decor.
We then found a whale museum, it was interesting to see full skeletons of some whales, it puts into perspective just how huge they really are. The biggest skeleton was a whale that would have been 121 tons. Imagine running into one of those guys in the ocean.

We took a drive to a beach, where we could sit and relax, possibly even snorkel. Even though it was too cold to snorkel we found the perfect beach to go treasure hunting. The water was very calm, warm, and the seashells it had to offer were amazing. We came home with quite the loot.
La Paz was a success.
P.S. I apologize that the photographs are disorganized! My blog is having an attitude with me.
