Do good; feel good

It's true. You catch a ray of happiness when you do something nice of them, especially if this is unexpected. You catch a ray of warmth and joy when you do something nice for someone you don't even know. This is what we call, Random Acts of Kindness. You see, my online psychology class has a "project list" you can pick from every week. This week, which is our last week, had a project to where you can do a random act of kindness and report their feelings and expressions, as well as your own. Of course I was all over that one!
I did a couple random acts of kindness today.
Here in Mexico, the baggers at the store do not get paid, what they take home as pay is tips they get from customers which is a few pecos. Want to know something else? Most of the baggers are very young children. The money they do get to take home, they do not get to keep, they give them to their families.
Today at the store we had the youngest person I've seen doing the bagging, she was so young she could barely reach her little hands over the cart. My Mom gave her a tip of course, however, I wanted to contribute to this darling girl. I looked in my wallet and all I had was 50 pecos. I didn't mind, I knew she would need it more then I did. As we walked away I slipped her the 50 pecos. The look on her face was as if I gave her 500 pecos. She had the biggest smile on her face and was in shock. She looked as me as in "Is this really mine?" I replied with a big smile and walked out the door. I just felt so warm inside!
I made lunch bags for the yard workers, they are always working hard and do such a great job. I got a little zippie bag and stuffed it with a tuna sandwich, a couple cookies, and a note that said "Muchas Gracias." with a cold bottle of water.
What good deed will you do today?
