The Pelican

I have come to find that Pelican's are very trusting, which takes a lot, because I don't even trust humans to get this close to me sometimes!

I don't think I was even 3 feet from the guy, I did have my zoom lens on me, but barley had to get it further then 145mm to get my closest shot.

I think they are such beautiful creatures, there extra long beaks just fascinate me, you would think it would get in the way all the time!

When we went to Todos Santos there were many pelicans dead on the beach, it was a terrible site to see. How that I've gotten this close and noticed the true beauty of them, I don't think I could go back to the Todos Santos beach to see all of those pelicans lying dead without shedding a tear.
